Custom software for businesses that outgrew off-the-shelf.
You've hit the limit of what a template, a spreadsheet, or a monthly subscription can do. Obelra builds the thing that actually fits how you work — web apps, internal tools, and platforms, built to spec.
Free 30-minute call. You leave with a written scope whether or not you hire us.
Fixed price agreed before week 1. No hourly surprises.
What we build
Four things, done properly, instead of a list of twenty. If your project isn't one of these, we'll tell you on the call and point you somewhere better.
Custom websites
Not a theme with your logo dropped in. Built from your content and your sales process, fast on a phone, and editable by you afterward.
Internal tools
The scheduling board, the job tracker, the quoting calculator your team currently runs out of a shared spreadsheet that breaks every March.
SaaS platforms
Multi-tenant products with accounts, billing, and permissions — from first working version through to paying customers.
Integrations & automation
Making the systems you already pay for talk to each other, so nobody is copying data between two tabs by hand at 6pm.
How a project runs
Four stages, in order, every time. You always know which one you're in and what comes next.
Scope
A call, then a written document: what's being built, what isn't, and the fixed price.
Design the data
Before any interface, we settle how your information is structured. This is where most projects quietly go wrong.
Build in the open
A working link you can click every Friday. Change your mind early, while it's still cheap.
Launch & hand over
Deployed, documented, and transferred to accounts you own. Then 30 days of fixes included.
What you get in writing
Custom software goes wrong in predictable ways: the price moves, the scope drifts, and the client discovers they don't actually own what they paid for. These four terms are in every Obelra engagement, and they're on this page so you can hold us to them.
How we price
There are no figures on this page on purpose. A modest website and a serious one are both "a website," and a range wide enough to be honest would be too wide to be useful to you. So here's the method instead — and you'll have a real number within a week of the first call, at no cost.
Agreed in writing before any work starts. If the build takes longer than we estimated, that's ours to absorb — it doesn't arrive as a larger invoice at the end.
Nobody can price what hasn't been defined yet. Stage 01 produces the written specification, and the number comes with it — free, and yours to keep whether or not you continue with us.
Bigger builds are split into phases, each with its own price and its own go/no-go. You can stop after any phase and still have something that works.
Asked before every project
The things worth knowing before you spend thirty minutes on a call.
Do we need to know exactly what we want first?
No. Most clients arrive with a problem, not a specification — "quoting takes three days and we keep losing jobs over it." Turning that into something buildable is Stage 01, and it's the part we're actually best at.
What if we want to change direction halfway through?
Expected, and it's why you see working builds every Friday rather than a status report. Small changes get absorbed. Anything that moves the scope gets quoted in writing before work starts, so it never lands as a surprise on the invoice.
Who maintains it after launch?
You can, we can, or the next developer you hire can — the code is documented and lives in your accounts. Thirty days of fixes are included after handover regardless.
Is custom actually the right call for us?
Often it isn't. If an existing product solves your problem for a subscription fee, that's what you'll hear on the call — custom software is worth it when the workflow is genuinely yours, not when it's ordinary work that a mature product already handles.
How much of our time will this take?
Roughly an hour a week: one call to review the current build and answer questions. The heaviest week is Stage 01, where getting the details right saves weeks later.
What technology will it be built on?
Established, widely-supported tooling — chosen so that any competent developer can pick the project up later. Nothing exotic that makes you dependent on one shop.
Tell us what's breaking.
Thirty minutes, no pitch. You'll get a written scope and a straight answer about whether this is worth building.
